Runway model Diana Penty is making all the right moves. The Mumbai girl, who is the face of Maybelline and has walked the ramp for Pallavi Jaikishen and Tarun Tahiliani, is all set to make her New York fashion week debut.
Says the model, "I am very happy with the way things are going for me in NY, though it's very competitive out here."
With her New York appearance, she'll join the league of Indians who're making headlines in the international modeling circuit.
Ask her about the West's perception of the honey-coloured tribe, she says, "With Ujwala, Laxmi Menon and now Freida Pinto's success, people are opening up and looking at the Indian market." Indian models are perceived as "exotic and beautiful", she adds.
